Terms applicable to www.mcare.lu and the Medcare applications — International version

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of all services provided by Medcare Sarl-S. By accessing the services, the user unreservedly accepts these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Medcare": Medcare Sarl-S, 44, Rue de l'Industrie, L-8069 Strassen, Luxembourg;
  • "Services": www.mcare.lu, Nobesick, Prep-EVC, MedReport, Medi Scan, Mercy Tensio;
  • "User": any person accessing the Services, regardless of their location;
  • "Relative": a person residing in Africa, Europe or the USA who books an appointment on Nobesick for a family member located in Cameroon;
  • "Patient": a person receiving care in Cameroon through Nobesick.

2. Description of the services and geographical scope

2.1 Nobesick — Appointment booking and insurance introduction

Nobesick is a platform that enables: (a) booking medical appointments with healthcare professionals in Cameroon, accessible from any country (Africa, Europe, USA); (b) connecting users with partner health insurers operating in Cameroon.

Care takes place exclusively in Cameroon. Medcare acts as a technical intermediary and does not guarantee the quality of the care provided nor the terms of the insurance contracts offered by partner insurers.

Important reminder

Medcare is not a healthcare provider and does not deliver any medical service. As regards insurance, Medcare is an introduction platform and not a licensed insurer or broker.

2.2 Prep-EVC — Preparation for the French integration examination

Prep-EVC is a platform for preparing the Knowledge Verification Examination (EVC), enabling doctors qualified outside the European Union (particularly in French-speaking Africa) to prepare for integration into the French medical system. It covers the following specialities: anatomy, neurology, radiology, cardiology, immunology, pharmacology, paediatrics and emergency medicine.

2.3 MedReport, Medi Scan, Mercy Tensio

Applications intended for healthcare professionals in French-speaking Africa and Luxembourg as a priority, then across French-speaking Europe. These administrative and documentation support tools are reserved for qualified healthcare professionals authorised to practise in their country.

3. Applicable law by geographical area

  • Users in Europe (EU/EEA): GDPR and Luxembourg law;
  • Users in the USA: the law of their state of residence, in particular the CCPA for California residents;
  • Users in French-speaking Africa: the national legislation applicable in their country of residence;
  • For everyone: these Terms are drafted under Luxembourg law, without prejudice to the applicable mandatory local provisions.

4. Rules of use

The user undertakes to:

  • Provide accurate information when registering;
  • Use the services in accordance with their purpose and with the legislation applicable in their country;
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to Medcare's systems or those of third parties;
  • Not reproduce or exploit the services without Medcare's written authorisation;
  • For Nobesick: book appointments only for real patients in Cameroon and provide accurate information about the patient's state of health.

5. Specific responsibilities

5.1 Insurance introduction — Nobesick

Medcare provides an introduction service only and is not responsible for the contracts concluded between users and partner insurers, for the cover offered, for reimbursement times, or for any dispute between the user and the insurer. Users must read the partner insurer's terms and conditions carefully before subscribing.

5.2 Medical applications (MedReport, Medi Scan, Mercy Tensio)

These applications are documentation and management support tools. Any medical decision remains the sole responsibility of the healthcare professional authorised to practise in their country.

5.3 Prep-EVC

Prep-EVC content is designed to prepare for the EVC but does not guarantee success in that examination. Results obtained on the platform are not indicative of results in the official examination organised by the competent French authorities.

6. Personal data

See the Privacy Policy at www.mcare.lu/confidentialite, which sets out the legal framework applicable according to the user's location (GDPR, CCPA, African legislation).

7. Intellectual property

All elements of the services (code, interfaces, content, AI algorithms, EVC educational content) are the exclusive property of Medcare Sarl-S.

8. Amendment, suspension, termination

Medcare may amend these Terms with prior notice. Any user may close their account via contact@mcare.lu. Medcare may suspend access in the event of a breach of these Terms.
